Penn Medicine Princeton Health is searching for a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse for our Plainsboro, NJ location. This is a float position supporting the outpatient offices surrounding the Plainsboro, NJ hospital.The Penn Medicine float pool is home to many talented medical professionals. We offer 23 and growing different locations ranging from busy internal medicine practices that staff 8- 10 physicians a day, to smaller practices with 4- 5 providers. We are also home to a variety of specialties including cardiology, pulmonology, rheumatology, endocrinology, gynecology, oncology and womens health. Our float team is trained onsite to provide exceptional care and compassion all across the tristate area. The Penn medicine float pool is a team of collaborative MAs and LPNs who staff many practices that make up the Penn Medicine Physicians. In these Penn Medicine community practices, you will have the opportunity to train and learn new specialties through our new hire residency program. A day in the life of float pool Nurse/ MA could include but not limited to some of the following: Phlebotomy, stocking rooms, problem solving, scheduling, prescription refills, ECG, POC testing, glucose finger sticks, charting, triage, specimen collection, prior authorizations, medication reconciliation, covid testing and some clerical duties. Our float pool staff covers the need at our community practices. The position is 40hrs a week with the possibility of one evening shift and weekend shift per month. Since we staff the need there are some weeks these shifts are not needed. You will be given your schedule in advance with office notes and contact information on who to report to upon arrival. The job offers mileage reimbursement and plenty of opportunity for over time.Position Summary:Provide clinical services that include collection of information, leadership of activity and education groups, treatment plan input, and documentation for all services provided. To schedule and track physician visits and laboratory work within the assigned partial hospital program or site.Some job functions and duties will include, but are not limited to:¢ Provide assistance to the treatment team by: managing patients in the milieu, participating in the implementation of the multidisciplinary treatment plan, identifying significant changes in patients' clinical status and communicating this information to appropriate member(s) of the treatment team¢ Support customer service and performance improvement goals of the department; collaborate with other caregivers/staff, within and outside the department, to develop means of enhancing patient care and service.¢ Schedule MD time in accordance with requirements set for routine visits. Allow for MD schedule changes due to changes in patient presentation and work with Program Director, Coordinator, and clinicians in triage of patients. Track, record and bill each MD visit.¢ Collect specimens for laboratory work as prescribed by the physician.¢ Collect health data of patients as requested.¢ Conducts individual and group activity and education sessions.¢ Document each treatment session in accordance with Princeton House documentation policies.¢ Participate in treatment rounds, working with treatment team to coordinate care through exchange of clinical information

Education\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nGraduate of a nursing program as an LPN.\n\nRelated Work Experience\nPrevious experience in treatment of the program's patient population.
