Penn Medicine Princeton Health is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse for our MNO & Acute Rehabilitation Department in Plainsboro, NJ. The Acute Rehab Registered Nurses are responsible for assisting patients with medical and functional disabilities attain and restore maximum function through a patient-centered care approach. The rehabilitation nurse assists persons served and their families in adapting to an altered lifestyle. The nurse aids in the implementation of rehabilitation goals and treatment strategies that are concurrent with evidence-based practice. The acute rehabilitation nurse is responsible for establishing a therapeutic relationship and environment with the persons served. The rehabilitation nurse along with the interdisciplinary team follows the plan of care created by the rehabilitation physician, making revisions based upon the response to treatment of the persons served. In order to achieve the outcomes defined in the plan of care, the registered nurse will assure that persons served experience exceptional cooperation among all members of the health care team who treat them and each other with dignity, respect and sensitivity. Some job functions and duties will include, but are not limited to:¢ Collects and documents comprehensive data pertinent to the patients health or the situation, in a systematic and on-going process. ¢ Analyzes the assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues. ¢ Develops and documents an individualized plan of care considering patient characteristics or the situation.¢ Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the persons served or situation, considering persons-served/family cultural values, ethics, environment, and other associated risks, benefits, costs and current scientific evidence. ¢ Coordinates implementation of the individualized plan of care and documents interventions and any modifications of the identified plan. ¢ Evaluates and documents progress toward attainment of outcomes, including the patient and others involved in the care or situation.¢ Accountable for improving patient care through adherence to all patient safety and quality standards, regulations and best practices.

Educational Requirements:\n• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor of Science (BSN) required, or at least in pursuit of\n\n Licensure, Certification, & Registration Requirements: \n• Active NJ Registered Nurse license- required \n• Basic Life Saving certification (BLS) - required \n• Advanced Life Saving Certificate (ACLS) - required within 6 months of hire \n• Rehabilitation Certification - preferred\n\n Related Work Experience\n - one (1) year recent nursing experience \n\n Specialized Skills & Knowledge Requirements:\n• Computer Literacy\n• High Level of Physical Strength, Stamina and Agility\n• Great Interpersonal and Communication Skills
