The Patient Care Associate works with and under the direct supervision of a registered nurse with whom she/he is regularly teamed to deliver optimal patient care through the use of the nursing process. Will perform selected procedures or assist with treatments and procedures as skills checklist according to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center policy and procedure as delegated by the nurse. Collaborates with the RN to plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care. Documents observations and care rendered in an accurate and timely manner.
The qualified candidate must have a High school diploma or equivalent. Previous hospital experience is required. Must have a CNA certification or be a nursing student who has successfully completed a clinical rotation in their nursing program.
