The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania has an ACNP or PA-C position, caring for the Neurosurgery floor and Step-down patients.The role is to provide advanced provider practice care in collaboration with the Neurosurgical team. The provider will direct the clinical management of the critically ill and surgical patients. The providers practice with a high level of autonomy and expert skill in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of the Neurosurgery patients. As part of their professional role, they integrate education, research, leadership, and consultation into their clinical practice. The ACNP or PA-C will demonstrate this through nursing and resident education, participation in the divisions research mission and projects, hospital committee membership and leadership, and providing continuity of care for hospital staff, patients, and their families.
