Penn Occupational Medicine is seeking a Full-Time Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) to provide quality care in collaboration with physicians, nursing staff and other members of the care team.The Occupational Medicine team has experience with a wide range of employer and employee health needs for Penn Medicine as well as other clients in the community including the University of Pennsylvania, such as:¢ Medical Care for Workplace Injuries¢ Workers Compensation Management¢ Employment Examinations¢ Environmental Consultative Services¢ Employee Health Assessment Programs¢ Fitness for Duty Evaluations¢ Return to Work Evaluations¢ Surveillance for Occupational Health ConcernsThe Nurse Practitioner will complete health assessments of patients, perform physical exams, and interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic services as needed. Will provide acute care services for injuries and/or illnesses and will administer injections and oral medications. Will suture minor wounds and prepare written prescription orders for drugs and controlled substances under the direction of the physician. Will provide medical evaluation and treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses. Will maintain and review patient electronic medical records (EMR) and other pertinent information. Will review examination and procedure results. Will interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention. Will triage patient telephone calls and provide consultation. Will provide on-call telephone coverage some evenings and weekends. The Nurse Practitioner may need to assist staff with admitting and discharging patients, obtaining triage information, administering medications, cleaning rooms, and other duties.Environmental and Special Demands: This position requires working in a demanding and fast-paced environment. Typical physical demands will require full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-to-hand coordination. Standing and walking for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 lbs or greater. Also, requires normal visual acuity and hearing. May be exposed to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.

Candidates must be licensed to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and possess a MSN or DNP and certification as a family or adult nurse practitioner. Prior NP experience required, preferably in one of the following settings: Occupational Health, Urgent Care, Primary Care.
