The Department of Radiation Oncology is searching for either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work in their practice specializing in Gastroenterology/Hemonc. The following are the duties for this role.Collaborate with inter-professional team to facilitate clinical implementation of multidisciplinary treatment recommendations for Gastroenterology/HemOnc malignancy patients.Perform Independent visits:- Inspection visits (post-treatment symptom and disease management visits)- Additional follow up visits outside of the initial post-treatment period- Follow up and disease surveillance - Survivorship Visits- Perform Dyad/Shared Visits benefiting from APP involvement for complex symptom management, needs/symptoms for which they would benefit from Advanced Practice Providers involvement/expertise includes: - Consults- Follow Up/Re-Consults- Communicate with patients via phone and portal in regards to clinical matters including treatment decisions and resultsAttendance at appropriate conferences (department, health system). Including:- Participation in patient care conferences, case review and chart rounds- Departmental conferences including grand rounds, M & M- Advanced Practice Provider conferences in health system as appropriateParticipate in site team clinical initiatives including process improvement initiatives and development and implementation of supportive care standards. Self-initiated projects are encouraged. Departmental or health system committee participation recommended after one year of employment.AOCNP certification strongly encourage after one year of employment, if applicable

Licensed to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing Regulations \n\nor \n\nLicensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine Regulations.\n\nPrior to employment, the CRNP/PA must be reviewed by the Credentials Committee and approved by the Medical Board.\n\nCertification as a CRNP or PA-C required at time of employment.\n\nPA and/or NJ RN licensure (RN) RN\n\nPA and/or NJ CRNP licensure \n\nPA and/or NJ Prescriptive Authority\n\nNational Board Certification\n\nBLS/CPR, as a healthcare provider as per the American Heart Association (For providers in the ambulatory setting)\n\nACLS (For providers in the acute care setting)\n\nNew Grad and Experienced candidates welcome to apply
